Unique Experiences for Honors Students in Music encompass Photography & Dance

This project began as part of Armand Ambrosini’s commissioning series designed to provide unique experiences for his Honors students in the Understanding Music course in OU School of Music. The concept for this particular work stemmed from Andrew Phelan‘s photography of his garden in different seasons.

The music offers three distinct moods inspired by autumn, winter and spring/summer. Each movement contains at least one quote from a past composer that was inspired by gardens. Autumn looks to imaginary American Henry Dabblesprite, winter to Erik Satie and spring to Maurice Ravel.

For accommodations, please call the School of Music at (405) 325-2081.
